Man oh man, Sam Phillips really was getting something new when he issued this record following up on the Hardrock Gunter 45 that we also have for sale. My Kind Of Carrying On is edging towards rockabilly, it’s still Hillbilly but so close. Thanks to Scotty Moore & Bill Black being two of the members of the Starlite Wranglers, who Sam would pair up with a young kid, just a few weeks later. On the flip a superb Honky Tonk Hank-a-like country weeper with Doug sounding like Charlie Feathers.
