BILL HALEY AND HIS COMETS -VIVE LE ROCK N ROLL / CHICK SAFARI – FESTIVAL 45

As always super sounds from Bill and the gang with two lesser known tracks.

Vivre Le Rock N Roll was originally recorded for the LP Rockin’ Around the World issued in 1958.  However this is the second version recorded in 1959 for the German film Hier bin ich – hier bleib’ ich (Here I Am, Here I Stay) featuring Caterina Valente.

Chick Safari is from a Warner Brothers single issued in 1960 and is a fine late rock n roll jungle hopper.

This 45 has a nice repro label from the rare Australian Festival release of the top side and a lovely full colour wrap around sleeve.
