Sitting On Top is a fantastic song and has been recorded by everyone from Doc Watson to The Grateful dead following in the tracks of the 1930 original from The Mississippi Sheiks. Do we need another version? Well if it is this good – YES!! Walt delivers a fabulous Rockabilly version with wonderful vocals, delightful finger picking rhythm guitar and tough boppin guitar breaks. Absolutely fab. The flip is a self penned number from Ked Kellin so does not have hundreds of version to fight against. Originally released on the Rich-R-Tone label in 1956 this is a lonesome wail vocal over a bopping nearly blue grass backing. Equally as fab as the flip.
