CARL PERKINS – HONKY TONK GAL / MOVIE MAGG (ALT) – SUN

Two absolute Rockabilly classics from one of the Kings, both recorded in October 1954 at Carls first Sun session.  A later cut of Movie Magg would become one side of Carl’s first record but the fantastic Honky Tonk Gal was left unissued until 1974.   Remember Carl, wrote, sang and played lead guitar on both these sides.  No wonder Steve Shoales was worried that Sam Phillip’s had pulled a fast one when he sold him Elvis but kept Carl for himself.

This is the first time these tracks are available on 45 and they will soon be gone so jump in quick.
