DORSEY BURNETTE – GREAT SHAKIN’ FEVER – MULTIGROOVE 10″ LP

I had to check this but I think this is the first album compiling Dorsey Burette’s tracks from his various labels and incarnations.  His career pretty much started with the killer Rockabilly of The Rock N Roll Trio, but he carried on, either alone or with Johnny, across a slew of small labels.  He eventually found success as a country artist but this LP sticks to his early days and his rockabilly and rock n roll tracks.  This really is a fine collection, it is all rock n roll but covers whole range within that style from the Tex Mex Rockabilly of Midnight Train, the stomping aggressive Bertha Lou to the bright lighter Let’s Fall In Love and the exotica inflected Jungle Magic and straight ahead Rock n Roll of Great Shakin’ Fever.

Another great album in the multigroove series collecting the best tracks from the cream of the crop of Rockabilly artists.  As always this LP has fabulous packaging and equally great sound.  Limited press so get in quick.
