Two top tier tunes from Maverick. Both in demand dance floor fillers, although I have heard there are people that exist that are not DJs and just buy records for their own enjoyment.
Top side Hedley and Lee is a 1963 male duet like a tough Everly Brothers tune with absolutely killer guitar all the way through. First heard by most on a Desperate Rock n Roll LP way back when.
The flipside is a fine number from the always great Johnny Horton. This is the 1956 cut of this tune that Johnny recorded a few times and is taken at a superb lazy bop tempo.
