JOHN LEE HOOKER – HOOGIE BOOGIE / WOMEN IN MY LIFE – MODERN

Hoogie Boogie was the second John Lee Hooker recording issued way back in 1949.  It came out under two titles and is also known as Rhythm No. 2.  It is a stunning track, absolutely hypnotic guitar that subtlety increases in tempo as it blasts out.  Just listen to it below.

Women In My Life was issued in 1955 and we have the wonderful addition of John Lee’s unique voice to his fabulous guitar prowess.
