JOHNNY CARLTON – BAMBOO BABY / SHE’S A MOONLIGHTER – BEAUMONT 45

Johnny and the Escorts had to 45s issued in 1965 and 1966.  This issue takes two rip roaring Rock N Roll sides from these originals and makes them available for all.

Bamboo side is a cool mid tempo rocker with nice Oriental piano riffs.  The lyrics are crazy when you think this was going on at the time of release.

The flip side is a really fantastic frantic Rockabilly number. Now there seems to be dispute online about calling this rockabilly, well listen to the song structure, vocal delivery and especially that guitar.  It is at the real tough end of Rockabilly but I reckon it is still in the range.
