JOHNNY FULLER – HAUNTED HOUSE / SWINGIN’ AT THE CREEK – SPECIALTY – Reissue

We have secured a small stack of unplayed old stock of this fantastic Specialty reissue of sides were originally put out on separate 45s in 1959 with gospel ballad flips. The company decided to rerelease these more rockin’ sides back to back in the late 70s?.

Johnny uses his fine Larry Williams style on Haunted House which is a guitar boppin’ RnB  mover that really should be a Halloween staple but has been unfairly over looked.

You know what, if we are comparing label mates lets pull Lloyd Price in here for the Swingin’ side.  If Haunted House is unfairly overlooked it is absolutely criminal that this side is not better known.   The lopping swing beat, the outstanding guitar work and Johnny’s insolent vocal combine to make this a real gem.

As I said this is a nearly 50 year old issue now so if you want a copy don’t hang about.
