MORT SHUMAN – I’M A MAN / TURN ME LOOSE – DECCA

Apparently whilst on holiday in the UK in 1959 Mort Shuman dropped into a studio and recorded these two pounding rockers. This is often called British Rock n Roll but the singer is from New York and is of course the one half of the famous Pomus / Shuman writing partnership who wrote so many great songs. Great intense vocals and superb backing showing the Brits could rock when they were allowed to.
