THE TRAVELERS – TEENAGE MACHINE AGE / GREEN TOWN GIRL – ANDEX

Brilliant 1957 RnB vocal group double sider from the Keen subsidiary.  Originally these sides were issued on separate 45s with ballad flips but here you get the two great up-tempo numbers. Teenage Machine Age really moves although I don’t understand why he is making car noises but singing about Coke machines and photo booths.  Green Town Girl is an infectious jive tempo number with a particularly fine lead vocal.
