These records won't collect themselves...
With this first of a new series Atomicat turn their attention to the label that is called by many the birthplace of Rock n Roll. Sub titled The Rockers this volume covers tracks from 1954 to 1963 deliberately avoiding the big hits that are already well represented on many many collections. From the country of Hardrock Gunter and the Miller Sisters through the Hillbilly Bop of Charlie Feathers and Carl Perkins, onto the flat out Rockabilly of Hayden Thompson and Johnny Carroll on through the Rock n Roll of Charlie Rich and Harold Dorman this CD really shows the depth of one side of the Sun Sound.
