Howdy music lovers!
We’ve pulled up the shutters and thrown the doors open to our quirky little shop for the first time since before Xmas and there are signs of life returning to good old Camden Town.
It’s been nice to be back behind the counter and see some of our regulars coming back through the door after nearly four months. Tales have been told, tea has been drunk and thankfully, records have been sold.
See if you can guess the very clever theme for this week’s newsletter, it took me a while to come up with this genius idea but I’ve gone with… New Releases. Yeah, okay maybe it ain’t that clever but we’ve had a bunch of new stuff through the door and there’s no point in keeping it a secret, so here goes…
Various – The Alabama Box – 1950s & 1960s Oddball Labels – B-Sharpe 8-CD & Hardcover Book Boxset

We’ve finally managed to get a few more copies in stock so now’s your chance. This eight CD set with big heavy info and picture-packed hard backed book really is something special and rounds up 238 rare and rockin’ cuts from the cotton state. We’ll pretty much guarantee there will be a bunch of killer tunes on here you’ve never heard, info you never knew and pictures you’ve never seen. On top of that we’re selling this set for about £25 cheaper than most other dealers.
Various – Boss Black Rockers Vol.10 – Eeny Meeny Minine Moe – Koko Mojo CD
The 10th and final instalment in this great series from Koko Mojo compiled by Little Victor (who is actually more like medium Victor) This is rockin’ blues all the way so If you dig the Stompin’ & Savage Kick series then this 28 track CD and the nine previous volumes will be right up your street. Nice eco-friendly digipack cover which should make Greta smile or at least, smile inside
Various – The Johnny & Dorsey Burnette Song Book – Atomicat CD
Thirty tunes penned by the battling Burnette brothers, Johnny & Dorsey. In-between punching the living daylights out of each other and anybody else in range and recording fantastic records themselves, the Memphis brothers wrote some great rockin’ tunes for other folks too. This CD rounds up some of the best and lesser-known ones.
Various – Rock And Roll Vixens Vol.5 – Koko Mojo CD
The fifth volume in this fine series of femme Blues Shoutin’, R&B and Soulful tunes. Lots of lesser or never comp’d before tunes

This is 24 Rockin’ solid senders compiled by the Mojo-man aka that Little Victor fella. This is such a great series, every one’s a winner.
Various – Whip Masters Instrumentals Vol.2 – Atomicat CD
The middle marker in this great three CD series of instrumental mayhem runs the gamut from Surf and Rock’N’Roll to Western Swing and hot Country Boogie.
