ERSEL HICKEY – THE SOLID BEAT OF – SLEAZY 45 EP

Ersel Hickey’s solid sound comes mainly from the excellent production that
Epic Records reserved for all of his sessions. Backed by the guitar master
Al Caiola or by an entire orchestra, Ersel sounded like few others,
resulting in a masterful melting of rock’n’roll and pop that sometimes
reminds what few years later would be well known as the sound of British
rock’n’roll.

In this EP you’ll find four good examples of it, highlighting the incredible
SHAME ON ME that sadly was not released back in its day, remaining almost 30
years in a can until the mid-80’s.

An amazing record that aims to achieve deserved recognition for the almost
forgotten Ersel Hickey’s solid beat.
