GANIMIAN – COME WITH ME TO THE CASBAH / MY FUNNY VALENTINE – ATCO RE

From 1959 – one of the defining tracks of the exotica genre on the top side and on the flip an eastern jazz take on the Rogers and Hart standard.   This is no “fake foreign” sound, Ganimian was of Turkish decent and steeped in his country’s music from a young age.  A really wonderful groove.
