The obscure Alabama-based Sherba label issued this super guitar-led belter which undoubtedly deserved to be a hit in 1959. In name-checking ‘That’s All Right Mama’ amongst many others in the songs lyrics, Warren demonstrated that he was indeed a real hep cat. The B-side is also a great rocker and sees our man on the run, pursued by both cops and bloodhounds. Super rare on original. This was an early production by future Fame label owner Rick Hall!
