PETE RONSTADT & THE NIGHTBEATS – SEA OF LOVE – ZOOM RECORDS 45

This very special 45 is the first Zoom records release since 1959. It has been issued by the original label owners Ray Lindstrom & Burt Schneider to mark the 60th anniversary of the label – only 300 pressed. Here’s what Ray has to say….

“Pete Ronstadt and The Nightbeats were a group of seniors from Catalina High School, Tucson, AZ, USA in 1959. You may have heard of Pete’s little sister, Linda. Besides Pete on the vocals and guitar, there was Nate Foster-guitar, Bert Roberts-Drums, Lance Hoopes-Sax, and Don Grossberndt-Piano.

This was recorded at Audio Recorders of Arizona in Phoenix August 27, 1959. It was recorded after the group had done “Doreen” and “Cryin’ All Night” which was released as ZR-004 7″ vinyl record. At the controls as was legendary Grammy Award winning engineer, Jack Miller who would go on to do hits by The Monkees, Henry Mancini, and the Rolling Stones among many others. He was the engineer on the Stones record “Satisfaction,” one of the greatest hits of all time. Jack was at the controls of all the Zoom Records produced. Unfortunately he passed away in 2016. Not just a great engineer, but a wonderful human being as well. He is greatly missed.

So now Zoom Records is proud to release this limited edition 7″ 45 RPM vinyl record. Not many are being pressed these days. Albums, yes. Singles, not many. This is truly a limited edition.”
